Jack Or Better Poker is a variant of 5 card draw in which the rules are almost the same but there are some few differences. Aside from all players ante, a pair of Jacks or better are needed before the game begins. Betting is soon declared open after this. Players can decide whether to stay on the pot or fold once the pot is opened. Players re-ante and the hands are thrown away if no players has a pair of Jacks or better to open betting. Then the game will start again until someone get a minimum hand.

In order to win the pot the player who declares the pot opened  must prove openers.Any player can request that the opener retain the opening hand and show it after the winner of the pot has been determined.
